At 40 km from the Black Sea there’s a place called Corten. There are vineyards lying on the hills.
Corten – is a wine-making center where wines of a very high quality are being produced. The wines and the vines were a part of the local people’s life who inhabited these lands. You cant have a meal without a bottle of vine on the table, and you can’t drive though this area without seeing a vineyard. The amount of grape varieties are cultivated in this area is impressive. The experience gathered during the centuries made possible to find out which variety is best for this specific region in general and specifically for the micro-zones created along the time.
Due to the combination of historical events with the national peculiarities and climate conditions, this region is one of the best in Moldova for viticulture and wine-making.
