The Moldovan Wine-Makers Won the Gold in Bordeaux

The Moldovan wine conquered France!

The results of the international contest in wine-making “Challenge International du Vin-2004”  were announced on 14th of May.

This contest takes place in Bordeaux (France) for the 28th time and the wine-makers of the world consider it to be as one of the most prestigious contests in the world. The best experts are presenting their wines to the appreciation and judgment of the competent jury. This year the competition was big – 750 independent experts tasted 4416 samples of wine coming from 34 countries.

Only 171 wines were conferred the highest award of the contest. Among winners there was a Moldovan wine  as well – Sauvignon Blanc 2003 of “Acorex Wine Holding” company was granted the Gold Medal. This event can be called as one of the most outstanding successes of the Moldavian wine-makers of the last ten years.

Two other Moldovan wines Cabernet-Sauvignon 2002 and Pinot Noir 2003, also by “Acorex Wine Holding”, were granted silver at this contest.
